American Creek Resources Ltd. - Alberta, Canada

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Don McKinnon, one of the most prominent individuals in Canadian mining history. Don served as an advisor to American Creek’s Board of Directors for more than eight years, from the company’s beginning in 2004 to his passing. In recognition of his contributions to mining and exploration, Don was awarded PDAC’s Prospector of the Year, the Order of Canada, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. In May of this year he was presented with the key to the City of Timmons, Ontario. Don was highly respected throughout the industry, and American Creek was honoured to have been so closely associated with him.

Over the years Don contributed much to the success of American Creek, providing valuable advice and direction to the company. We will miss Don’s sense of humour, his story telling, his enthusiasm for mineral exploration and for life in general, and most of all, his friendship. We offer our sincere condolences to his family.

American Creek Resources Ltd. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of gold and silver properties within the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
